The LVS HPLS-RGB-V2 uses thre high power red, green and blue LEDs configured to provide a point source at the fiber input to maximize brightness.
To stabilize brightness, the LEDs are operated in a constant-current mode that accounts for variations in temperature. Both continuous and strobe operation are supported with muntiple methods of setting brightness and strobe duration.
Brightness of each of the R, G, B LEDs can be set by an RS-232 link or front panel controls.
For ease of use, the source can be instruction to retain the last brightness setting by depression of a front-panel button. The source returns to this setting when power is re-applied.
This source accepts a wide variety of fiber light guides including these offered by LVS.
